MycorrPlus
Elaine in GA, Dec. 13, 2018. At birth, our calves are stronger, they are healthier. Normally
when calves are born their sides are sunk in because they haven’t used their stomachs. It usually takes a week for
them to fill up, have energy and run. Our calves have energy when they hit the ground; they are getting up earlier.
Within 2 days they look filled in, not 7 days. When they hit the ground it is the best group of calves that we have
ever had.
They are so healthy looking, they are fleshier. People might say that it is because of all the rain and all the
grass, but I have a lot of grass all the time. I have lots of grass in the summertime. I think it is the
improvement in the soil. The cows are cycling better. We did not get the pregnancy check this year because of the
hurricane that hit us.
We put the nose rings in them in September, then put them out in October without their mothers. They didn’t know
to stay away from the electric fences and went under them. We want them to drink fresh water to keep them from
being as wormy.
We just shipped 212 calves, I have 190 left. We need to get replacement heifers out. We have been hauling peanut
hay and grass hay here in the winter. Leonard’s pH came back 7.1 and 7.2. As we ship the calves off, that helps. I
have one more load to ship Jan. 15. We usually ship them by 11 months. Most of my calves will be on the ground this
year by the end of February, which is great.
Most of the time when calves are sold, they are sold around 11 months old. My calves won’t be 11 months old
until January, and I have been able to sell at 10 months, which is 30 days sooner, and they were the correct
weight. What that does is cut the feed down, because they eat every day and graze every day, and we are feeding
what we call the Creek mix, 70% corn, 30% mill, that’s what we’re feeding for our calves. It runs around $.17 a lb.
for what they eat, and they eat no more than 10 lbs. per day. 200 calves, being able to see them a full month
earlier is a lot of savings. $340 a day x 30 days = $10,000. (for all my calves it is $25,000 and
$30,000).
My steers were 7 weight and my heifers, the middle group are 6 weight and the older group were 7 weight, some of
them are probably a little heavier. I didn’t sell them, I sold the middle group at 10 months. It all comes down to
pushing that pencil and seeing what you can do.
Now I am tickled to death; this is the first year that I have been able to sell at 10 months. Normally I sell
one load of steers, which is the oldest group. I sold them in December. That was at 11 months. So, to be able to
move them up and sell them at 10 months saves a lot of money. And then the smaller ones I was taking all the way
through April, so that cost me a lot. So, I finally figured out, its not producing what I need. It is producing,
but if I can get them to a 5 faster, why not do that, and that’s what I did. Normally when we wean calves, we wean
them in September. I would start their pre-feed in August, then I moved them from August. Then I moved it from
August to June, and from June to April. So we put our feeders out this year in April. And they just eat right
along. And what it does is it causes, as those calves grow, it causes for the marbling in the meat, which makes the
meat more flavorful.
I have been using the Creek feed off and on for 10 years. When the grass goes back in the winter it goes way
down in nutrients. That is why we plant oats, rye grass and clover for the winter
grazing.
Nobody can believe it when they drive over that piece of land that we planted in grass where there were pine
trees. We planted it July 30, its beautiful, green and healthy. Without the MycorrPlus and the good rains that we
had, there is no way that we would have that kind of pasture. It is beautiful, it is unbelievable. No one can
believe how fast … it was trees in April, we planted the grass in
July.
We got a weed wiper made by
GrassWorks that has a wick. We tried it before and it killed the briars. We don’t have as many briars now, but we
have the dog fennel and rye grass. Hopefully I won’t have to spray. I would like to put my MycorrPlus out in
April.
11/7/18 Bill Petty in OH. (see pictures) Seed was sprayed w/ 1 qt MyCor O, 12 gal of hard
water prior to planting.
Balance was broadcast over top of runs. No substantial rain for 3 weeks (tenth or 2 at most) This was the only
fertilizer applied.
Results: potato plant next to pig weed was left virtually untouched by insects. Later a few potato plants were
damaged by insects. Not as devastating as year prior. seen a few thistle plants that were stripped of leaves.
(Picture 1)
(Picture 2 Potato rows)
(Picture 3 Kennebecs) Kennebec potatoes quite a few large size. Would have been more if I didn't shut them down
by overlapping folar O F first part of July.
(Picture 4 Bora Valley Purple) Purple potatoes sizes varied throughout out potato patch small to large. The most
stand out was a fungi growing upon the potato itself. Corn stalks that were moldboard plowed under 8" were brittle
then fell apart when touched. This was throughout field. You can see fungi on organic matter and upon the soil.
Later after harvest toadstools became prevalent in field and lawns that Mycor was
applied.
Soil from horse pasture that Mycor Balance A was applied to in April 2018. Excavated a swale for water run-off
in early September. Noticed the fungi growing upon soil clump that pushed into bucket of track
loader.
Great product! I cant wait until 2019 growing season. Also farmer purchased Mycor Balance A in April from me and
used 1 qt per acre with 20 gals water. Only fertilizer used, and his soybeans yielded 59 bushel beans. He is
a very happy farmer.
11/27/18 Bill Petty in OH. Inoculated potato plants with 1 qt. for ½ acre MycorrPlus and 12
gal. hard water.
Then broadcast what was left in sprayer unto the bare soil over the seeds. Raised brix in potato plant, insects
didn’t dare touch it, but decimating pigweed. Had a few potato plants with bugs, but not like the 2 previous
years.
Grew potatoes naturally the first 2 years, the first year a drought, they turned out ok. Second year, got
flooded out, killed most of his plants. This year got dry at end of growing season, but then got rains, got quite a
few potatoes bigger than his hand. A LOT of mycorrhizae growing on the potatoes themselves. Then after harvest,
toadstools popped up all over the field.
Thistle plants shot up, 1.5’ tall, they were also stripped of their leaves by insects. Potato plants were much
more immune to insects than the weeds. Every seed in the soil got the
MycorrPlus.
They are having a lot of mushrooms, and a lot of mycorrhizae in their soil (see
picture).
Pictures, including these two pictures:
The one is the pigweed that was devastated by the insects. The potato plants were
untouched.
The other one is the soil that was pushed up into the track loader bucket as I was excavating. You can clearly
see the fungi. This was 6 acre horse pasture that I had to excavate the soil that was washed down and I put back up
on the hill. If you could use this info and testimony in any of your articles, I would be
honored.
11/27/17 Leonard Bembry in GA. (see picture). We have owned and operated our family farming
operation in North Central FL since 1976. I became aware of AG-USA and GRO-PAL in the Fall of 2016 and
decided to apply GRO-PAL BALANCE to 120 acres of newly planted Tiff 9 improved bahiagrass. It was amazing how
fast we had grazing in the spring and by summer, it was knee deep with no additional fertilizer or nitrogen.
We also decided to spray GRO-PAL BALANCE on an additional 80 acres of newly seeded grass. It was a
little dry in the spring of 2017. I have never seen grass germinate as quickly with a great stand.
GRO-PAL BALANCE helped us in getting a stand established. I think it is a great product and I intend to
continue using it. We have never had grazing like we had in 2017…the cows never caught
up.
11/15/17 Ryan Ayers in GA. (see pictures) Impressive results from GroPal, better germination,
growth of 50 grams compared to 14 grams, mushrooms everywhere, better root development, and warmer soil
temperatures. This summer dad wanted me to try MycorrPlus. I sprayed it, as directed, during a summer shower on
some land that was cleared 3 years ago. I will be honest, I thought it was snake oil when I put it out. Well, dad
had a good idea once again. Impressive results, better germination, growth of 50 grams compared to 14 grams, warmer
soils, mushrooms throughout the field, and deeper root systems. Pictured is a 5 randomly sampled Cosque Black Oats
planted on Sept. 19. The treatment group is on the left.
10/2016 Mark Tiensvold in NE. In 2015 I applied 10 gallons of fish per acre, some biological
and some enzymes. In 2016 I broadcast 16 ounces of GroPal Balance, then put another 16 ounces in the row, on the
seed. 2016 has been a particularly dry year, but thankfully my corn and sunflowers were under
irrigation.
Although in 2016 I applied nothing but GroPal Balance, my organic blue corn yielded 20% more and my sunflowers
yielded 25% more than in 2015. Besides this, they had better color and
vigor.
They just weren’t as vigorous before.
My dad even commented, “this stuff sure does work”! Where I applied GroPal Balance on my pasture, my Canadian
Thistles turned yellow, and my buffalo ate them right down to the soil. I figure that the GroPal Balance made them
more palatable.
1/2/19 Mark Tiensvold: I have used the GroPal balance for 3 years and have noticed soil and
crop improvement every year. This year we had hard red winter wheat that yielded 50 bushel dry land,
good test weights, when typically 35 is our average yield. We also observed the Canadian thistle patches are
shrinking. Great product.
12/9/18 Elvin Horst in IL – see 3produce pictures in CRM. He was very happy and impressed with results on his produce. He applied our product also on his pasture/hay. He said it was thicker! He said he got 700 (?) small bales off 6 acres and 50 bales small 3x4 foot off 6 acres. Had good rain but dealing with some blight or fungus.
11/29/18 Darrell Mullins in GA (see pictures). The first two pictures are from field number
one, treated. Found earth worms and low compaction with deep
roots.
The next two pictures are from field number two, untreated with high compaction. Did not find any worms. Hard to
dig.
The next two pictures are from field number three, treated. Has very porous, no compaction and easy to
dig.
The next two pictures are from field number four, treated. Easy to dig, low compaction and
porous.
The next picture is from field number five, untreated. Very, very hard to dig. High compaction, no top soil. Red
clay.
The survey has been mailed.
1/4/18 John Gilbert in IA. (see pictures) My family has a dairy/pig/crop farm in central Iowa.
We applied GroPal Balance last summer to some of our pastures, hay fields, and summer annual. The answers to the
questionnaire are listed below. We missed out on rains after we applied, so I'm not sure how fast things took hold.
I did see signs of fungal development in a new seeding of pasture. I plan on applying more to pastures, hay fields,
and silage fields this spring. I am also working on convincing my dad and uncle to apply some with the planter on
our corn and soybean acres. Do you have much information yet on using GroPal Balance in midwestern corn/soy crops
(potential for fertilizer reduction, yield/quality improvements)? Thanks for your help and providing this
product.
1. We applied GroPal towards the end of July to hay, pasture, and summer annual fields. The forecast had an inch
of rain forecasted for the night after we applied, which of course never came, and then had only a couple of tenths
until the middle of September.
2. Applied a pint ($10) per acre
3. With the minimal rains and timing of application, we weren't able to see a difference in plant
yield/growth.
4. The hay fields and existing pastures received no fertilizer last year. The summer annual and new pasture
seeding received a blend of AMS, MAP, Sul-Po-Mag, and micronutrients from Midwestern Bio Ag in the
spring.
5 & 7. We have been working on having biologically active soils for some time and have done okay with
getting earthworm populations up and developing a crumb structure, especially in the pastures, but have struggled
with fungal development. The attached pictures from 10/25/17 show the top of the soil with plants and litter pulled
back in our new seeding pasture where GroPal was applied and in an existing pasture where GroPal wasn't applied.
Both have good crumb structure with earthworm mounds, but the GroPal areas show signs of fungal strands and also
the litter layer had a lot of fungal growth on it. The plant density is really good in the new seeding (picture
also attached) while some of the existing pastures have thinned over the years. It is comparing apples to oranges
some between the new pasture and existing, but I believe there was some difference between the applied and
non-applied areas.
6. All applications were on existing plants and due to lack of rain, I was unable to observe a difference in
root structure this past fall.
8. We have good earthworm populations but struggle to get dung beetles. I am not sure if we are just surrounded
by too much corn and soy and their aren't dung beetles to be found or if there is something else. I even bought
some dung beetles from Florida a couple of years ago and they did really well in the pastures, but being southern
dung beetles, they didn't make it through the Iowa winter.
9. As we were dry when applied and continued to get drier, and then received a decent amount of rain, I was
unable to see any differences in moisture at that time.
10. Did not have a long enough period of plant growth after application to evaluate differences in plant
quality.
11. Did not have a long enough time after application to see any differences in weed pressure. We did have
something interesting occur in our summer annual Sudan grass pasture. We grazed it in late July, applied the GroPal
Balance mixed in with some 32%N and water, and then grazed again in September. When we grazed in September, I found
a considerable amount of volunteer white clover seedlings. No clover seed had been applied and this ground had been
in corn/soy rotations for the last few decades prior to being put into annual
pasture.
12. No comparative soil samples have been taken at this time. I am planning on taking some plant sap samples
through Crop Health Labs for corn and hay next year to compare treated vs.
untreated.
9/17/18 Amos Esh in PA. When starting up 1stFruitsProduce, the Lord blessed us with the perfect
slogan for our vision: “Produce, Dairy, and Meats the way God intended!” Our passion was to get things back to the
way God intended them to be: no chemical sprays, no pesticides, and no GMO! Instead we wanted to focus on
perfecting the soil health and getting that rich, dark soil that symbolized a perfectly balanced ecosystem in every
handful of dirt from our land.
The following is a recent account from Amos Esh of 1stFruitsProduce about how MycorrPlus has transformed his
Intensive Grazing Farm:
2017 proved to be a year of learning opportunities. Our Idaho Pasture Pigs were on a large paddock where I
thought they had access to all the green grass that they could eat. They proved that I was wrong by plowing down
the grass and muddying up the field to make it a disappointing sight. My wife and I expected the pigs to graze and
eat grass like they were bred to do, but instead they resorted to rooting and tore the earth up until the grass was
damaged and/or dead. They left a muddy mess of the field and their grass diet quickly
vanished.
Canadian Thistle had taken over our pastures. It overgrew and became so dense that it was smothering the healthy
pasture grass and beneficial plants that we wanted to thrive. Our personal garden also had its problems. The corn
was laden with worms, impacting a large percentage of ears. Our potato plants, string beans, and lima beans were
all impacted by bug infestation attacking the foliage. Our Lima beans were so heavily attacked by Mexican Bean
Beatles that our total yield was less than adequate for a single
meal.
Our chemical-free and spray-free farm proved to be a challenge. My wife and I knew something had to be done and
that was when we thought about the advertisement we saw for
MycorrPlus.
In the Fall of 2017, we applied MycorrPlus to all our pasture (except for one paddock) and our personal garden.
Fast forward a year and we are absolutely amazed by the
results!
The Canadian Thistle which had taken over our pastures was now being eaten by our cattle! We found that our cows
and sheep were plucking and eating the Thistle flower heads and foliage. When the cows and sheep were moved to the
one paddock where MycorrPlus was not used, they would not touch the Canadian Thistle! This clearly proves that the
MycorrPlus was activating nutrients in our soil and made the Canadian Thistle an attractive treat for our animals.
As the summer of 2018 progressed, the Canadian Thistle has not only been eaten by our cattle, but it has slowly
been dying off. The pasture grass continues to thrive and is a luscious deep green that signifies abundant
nutrients and minerals for our cattle!
As for the Idaho Pasture Pigs? No more rooting! They are now grass-eating delightful pigs that graze straight
through the cooler hours of the morning and evening plumping up on the nutrient-rich pastures that have been
flourishing. Even when we throw out some supplemental feed for them, they find the corn with minimal rooting and
get back to the pasture once they are satisfied. It has truly been a full 180-degree turn from last
year!
We have a Jersey cow that has been supplying us a steady supply of milk for all our dairy needs. With all the
excitement of summer, I mixed up the dates for her pregnancy and was pleasantly surprised to find her one morning
with her new baby calf! I mistakenly missed the opportunity to dry her up prior to her calf’s birth. However, not
only has her milk supply increased even more – for she feeds her calf and still overfills our two-gallon bucket
daily – but we firmly believe that she did not develop milk fever nor did she decrease in milk production because
her diet has been consisting of a plentiful supply of nutrient-rich pasture
grass.
Let us not forget about our personal garden! The corn had no worms for the early crop and only minimal amount of
worms for the later harvest – such a turnaround from last year! The Lima beans? They’re coming in plentiful! We
have found that the potato bugs have been dying right next to the potato plants. We firmly believe that they are
dying from eating such healthy crops! That or there are beneficial bugs thriving in the area and eradicating our
issues. What a turnaround from the prior year! The blueberries and raspberries have benefitted from the MycorrPlus
too! Other than adding protective netting to protect the berries from birds and animals, we have found that they
were plentiful, juicier and much more flavorful than previous
years!
It has truly been a transformation for our farm, and we know that a lot of the thanks and praises belong to our
Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and God’s continued blessings for our farm! This summer, we have had much more rain
than years prior, but we know that the soil has been transforming into a luscious rain-soaking and mineral-rich
environment for all our plants and animals to thrive! We are excited to see and taste the quality of our meats and
produce continually increase as our land continues to thrive on MycorrPlus for years to
come!
11/8/18 Norman Miller In IA. On November 2017 I applied 1 quart per acre to all fields. My hay
yields were very good. I also used LCB foliar fertilizer on corn, soybeans & some hay ground. Concerning
compaction, between wheel tracks the spade went in easily. The manure pats are mostly gone, probably from more
earthworms or dung beetles. With MycorrPlus structuring the soil, we had plenty of moisture this year. Our soybeans
had surprisingly less weeds.
11/2/2018 Diane Ferguson in MS. In early summer of 2018 we put out a quart of MycorrPlus per
acre, and we also applied some lime. The soil is now less compacted, our plants have a better root system, plus we
saw a definite increase in earthworms, and we seem to have extra moisture where we applied the MycorrPlus. Our cows
have better coats. I have less weed/insect pressure.
11/2/2018 Elam King in PA. We applied 64 oz. of MycorrPlus in October, 2017. We also applied
kelp, molasses, fish, sulfur, a custom dry blend, etc. With MycorrPlus we had more than enough moisture this year.
(see soil tests)
11/7/18 Larry Dove in GA. We applied 2 quarts per acre to our vegetable plots. We saw improved
brix.
11/12/18 Robert Hill in Texas. We applied some Azomite, plus in March we applied 1 quart of
MycorrPlus. When it turned dry in May and June the grass kept green and growing. I sprayed MycorrPlus on the apple
trees and garden. The apple trees produced the best apples and the garden the best vegetables we have had in ten
years.
The soil is much more “crumbly” than it was 12 years ago when we moved here. Over the years I have used a
ton of lime to the acre twice, spread Sea90, Azomite, Tennessee Rock Phosphate. MycorrPlus seems to be the
most effective of any of these. Our cattle are filled out and appear
healthy.
11/20/18 Jim Taylor, NY. (see
pictures).
8 acre seeding of hay. 6/12/18 we applied 2 qt./acre. The field was flooded with excessive rain and deeding did
not survive. This field is low and very heavy clay soil.
4 acre seeding of annual pasture mix. On 6/16/18 we applied 2 qt. per acre MycorrPlus. On 6/26, despite repeated
heavy rain and flooding, the crop grew 8” tall and incredibly lush (see photos 653, 626, 607,
603)
10 acre hay field. On 7/17/18 we applied just under 4 gal. of MycorrPlus. Regrowth was looking excellent with
very good amounts of clover and Trefoil.
40’ x 80’ Grand Children’s pumpkin patch. On 6/10/18 We used about a cup of MycorrPlus with water to settle
seeds at planting. Even with incredible amounts of rain this year the garden was the most productive ever! Normally
with this much rain the garden would have drowned (see picture
596).
Our garden sweet potatoes were grown in a raised bed. In late June we watered the bed with ½ cup MycorrPlus. The
vines grew and spread at least 20 feet. When we harvested the crop, we found the soil very loose and crumbly. The
tubers were large and well formed, a bumper crop! The only other thing we added to the garden was grass clippings
for mulch.
Our farm lies on the bottom of an ancient glacial lake (Glacial Lake Albany). The soils are predominantly clay
soils. Drainage is not very good since the farm is low and fairly level. We are not certified organic but we use
organic methods as much as possible. We raise meat goats and are a forage only operation. This year we had a cold,
wet spring followed by about six weeks of hot, dry weather, which turned into a record rainfall the middle of July
– we had 27 inches of rain in July, August and September. The soil is totally saturated with standing water after
every rain fall. Hopefully next year will be better – we will try
again!
5/10/18 Phil Price, OH. Soil test, all available nutrients are up (see soil test). I applied 16
oz./acre the end of June, 2017, 8” band applied on standing corn. I also applied chicken manure 2x2, 200# Ammonium
Sulfate broadcast, sugar, seaweed, and applied liquid humate on the seed. I saw better growth with MycorrPlus. We
have been using Humate for several years. We already had great soil structure so didn’t see any effect on soil
structure. Root system was appreciably better on treated soil. Brace roots were more uniform and larger in size
compared to untreated – see the pictures. We have many earthworms in all plots. Have had since using Humate. Two
other farmers viewed the field from the end after the end rows were removed and commented about how clean from
weeds the treated plots were.
I checked my test plot in the following way. I treated 8 rows, left 8 untreated and repeated this pattern across
the field. I applied the product as I cultivated the first time by spraying an 8” band over the row and rolling
dirt to cover it as I cultivated. To be perfectly honest, I didn’t think I saw any different as the field was
growing. I had been walking in it but didn’t see anything that looked radically different. When you sent the
letter, I went out and flagged the plots and still didn’t see anything that jumped out at me. I pulled 4 ears out
of 1 treated plot that weighed 46.7 oz. total. I pulled 4 ears out of the adjoining untreated plot that weighed
40.8 oz. total, a difference of 5.9 oz. Calculated at 25,000 plant population that equals 20.57 bushels at
3.25/bushel, that’s 66.85 benefit from using the product.
I pulled 4 ears from the next adjoining plot that was treated that weighed 48.9 oz. total. The adjoining
untreated plot produced 4 ears weighing 44.7 oz. total, a difference of 4.2 oz. Again, at 25,000 plant population,
that equals 14.86 bushel at 3.25/bushel equals 48.29 difference. I also dug up roots from all plots as you can see
in the pictures. The treated plots had much bigger roots with the brace roots being much more symmetrical and
larger in diameter. All plots seemed to have very many worms as we don’t use toxic chemicals in our program. After
having dug up the roots and seeing the difference I started looking closely at the roots in the plots. The treated
plots all seemed to have more and bigger brace roots than the untreated plots. In fact, there were a good number of
plants in the untreated plots that had no brace roots. I had two farmers that I had talked to that wanted to see
the plots. We walked out and viewed them and I asked them to tell me what they saw. Both commented that the treated
plots had less weeds than the untreated. Actually, there were very few weeds, mostly grass from being worked wet
thru the season. I asked if they could see any difference in the roots. They both said yes, the treated plots had
bigger brace roots. While we were in the field, one farmer counted the grains on one ear and calculated a yield of
216 bushel per acre. I can’t really say if that’s right or wrong, but I can say we have tremendous corn this
year.
4/28/18 Warren Horst, KY. This is the second year we used MycorrPlus. We applied 64 oz. per
acre the end of February, 2018. I think we saw an improvement in plant growth and yields in my pasture but in my
annuals I put chicken litter and dairy manure, but also needed to use some 32% liquid nitrogen. I noticed that a
shovel now goes into the treated area fairly easily, and the soil structure is improving. I think the fence stakes
are going in much easier, plus I do think the root system is better. I am seeing some fungi, plus plenty of tiny
roots reaching to the surface of the ground. I am seeing more earthworms and can hear them quite well when I walk
on the ground right after a heavy rain. This spring I am amazed how many dung beetles we have; there are dozens of
them on manure piles. Although it is a wet time of year, I think I am able to get on the ground sooner after a rain
with equipment. The animals seem to enjoy eating grass but of course it is young spring grass. Last fall the man
getting soil samples really thought the grass looked good and glossy and the ground crumbly and easy to sample. The
coats on milk cows coming through the winter was fairly shiny. Our pH is improving, and less hydrogen in the base
saturation rate. This was a very fun-down crop farm for 20 years and before we bought it 3 years ago, the top soil
in this area is thin and law organic matter, 1-2% range, CEC’s 5-10 range so we have a long way to
go.
4/9/18 Richard Bellinger, VA. (see pictures) We see a difference in our soil and the
grasses that are growing. The cattle also seem to prefer the grass on the treated areas. We applied ½ gallon of
MycorrPlus per acre on 6/20/2016. We saw some improvement in plant growth. In the treated area a rod goes in about
3”, but only 2” in the untreated area. In the treated area we see improved root structure and a larger plant. The
untreated soil is dryer. The cattle appear to prefer the treated sections, plus there are less weeds and briars
there.
In the first picture of treated soil you will see the grass is greener and thicker than in the untreated grass
in picture 2. Picture 3 shows more brambles in the untreated area, as compared to the treated area in picture 4
that has less brambles.
3/9/18 Kristin Hardesty, GA. I applied MycorrPlus in April, July and September. I see an
improvement in plant growth and yields. I didn’t use any other fertility. Soil integrity is improving. Root
structure is much better with thicker clumps. I’m not sure what to look for, but I see a visible improvement in the
grass. Lots of earthworms. I noticed even in dry periods, my dirt still seemed moist. Horses love it and their
coats look great. Still have some fire ants but I am beginning to see less
weeds.
12/30/17 Herb Marlowe, FL (see picture, root size). We applied 64 oz./acre of MycorrPlus in
June, 2017. We didn’t use anything else for fertility. In the pictures you will note that the roots appear longer
in the treated field. The treated field was also more resistant to army
worms.
2/16/18 Henry Stoltzfus, PA. I applied 64 oz./acre of MycorrPlus in July, 2017. I saw an
improvement in plant growth. I didn't apply GroPal Balance until mid-July. I just learned about it in June. I
didn't see any noticeable difference in yield or growth until after the last cutting which was made in Oct. About
six weeks later there was a very noticeable difference on the amount of regrowth for the winter. I am very excited
to see what difference it will make this spring. The field I am referring to is grass and alfalfa mix. I treated
1/3 of the field and left the rest untreated.
1/29/18 Marvin Hoffman, MN. I applied MycorrPlus in 2016 at 40 oz./acre. I have noticed that
during rain fall events that we have way less run-off or puddles (we have had plenty of rain). The cow pies are
being digested – they disappear. When we make hay it is our cow’s favorite. Purchased hay is tolerable – cows
choose and know best. When the cows are healthy was have lay less flies. Healthy soil affects forage, which affects
cows, which affects milk. We don’t do soil tests. We assume the life in the soil is improving based on the cow’s
delight – they know and tell.
2/5/18 Bill Petty, OH. (see picture) I became acquainted with your GroPal Balance A product
through Phil Price, Eaton, Ohio. After visiting his farm, I brought home 24 oz. of your product to test on our
house plants. I took one tablespoon GroPal with 1 qt of hard water and placed in our plants. Each plant received
this dose. Attached is a photo of the corn plant I inherited from my mother after her passing, approximately 20 yrs
ago. It was neglected and almost tossed out. After adding GroPal it shot a stem from itself after just one
week. To our surprise it began to put on its blooms within two weeks. The aroma was delightful but also
overwhelming. But purely a blessing! Thank you for your product. I have applied your product to our yard this last
fall and will be using it on our small organic farm this
season.
1/16/18 David Miller, IA. I sprayed GroPal Balance on my lagoon in the evening, by the next
morning it was bubbling all over the lagoon.
I sprayed it on my sawdust bedding material, which I normally turn every day. This winter it seemed to be
moister than normal, plus it never froze, and it always has frozen in the
past.
I sprayed ½ gallon/acre of MycorrPlus early March of 2017. I also put out lime and humates but I now wish I would have saved my money. My soil has always been loose, but something is different now. When I harvest carrots the dirt doesn’t stick to them anymore. A shovel easily goes into the ground. There are small air pockets and the soil is crumbly and structured. 2' carrot, carrots came out of ground easily, soil didn't stick, washed off easily. Every cow cleaning itself after birth. In spring, production went up and so did the components. Other years production went up but components went down.
Alfalfa was less drought tolerant, more weeds and had more insect pressure, but he thinks it is just the variety of alfalfa. His neighbor has had the same problem with that alfalfa. It rained every day, very wet. MycorrPlus definitely is highly structuring the soil. Every cow cleaning itself after birth. Cows not taking any minerals, just salt.
1/7/18 James Schwartz, NY. I applied 16 oz./acre of MycorrPlus, plus I used some chicken
litter. It looks like the wet spots in the field are no longer a problem in the treated area. The treated areas
were a deeper green over the whole area, but the untreated areas were only green around the manure piles. The dung
beetles were also active and I see a lot of earth worms. I am pleased enough that we plan to order more this
spring.
11/30/17 Levi Fisher, IN. We applied 2 qts. of MycorrPlus early in the spring. We also put out
some composted chicken manure, cow manure and lime. I noticed bigger roots and air pockets. I noticed big roots in
our tomatoes and better yields than most years. Earthworms seem more
abundant.
11/30/17 Isaac Fisher, IN. I applied GroPal Balance A in late spring (April & May). I
put 64 oz. per acre. I used it on most of my fields, except one spot in the garden where we had peas, and I
couldn't get through with the tractor. Later in the summer (late July) when the peas were gone (and it was
really dry here by then) I tilled the ground where the peas were and didn't get any moisture, it was dusty and
dry. Then I also tilled right beside it, where I had applied GroPal Balance and there was enough moisture
there to replant. I was amazed at the difference. I look forward to using it again next year and
hopefully I'll see even more results. I put manure on every
year.
11/15/17 Valentine Shetler, IN. I applied MycorrPlus on all my acreage late this spring. I
didn’t use any other fertility. I put out 1 qt./acre on corn and beans and 2 qts./acre on hay. I had more hay
w/fewer cuttings; corn & beans are not harvested yet, but looks like an excellent crop; saw some 4-bean pods (4
beans in a pod) in bean field (that I've never seen before). I saw improved soil structure and better root
structure. The animals seem to eat the pasture more evenly than in previous years. We had some Japanese beetles in
the beans, but I didn’t treat and the beans still did really well. This area had a lot of Japanese beetle pressure
this summer.
11/15/17 Martin Bredthauer, NE. (see pictures) We noticed a lot of overturned buffalo pies this
summer, apparently the result of beetles. The picture of the root structures show a definite advantage in all
treated areas over the untreated area. In the picture of the “test strip”, I think you can make out the area
of green in the forefront which is the GroPal Balance, followed by area treated with fish emulsion/raw milk, then
another greener area treated with Sea 90, and the control area next to the pick-up. These pictures were taken
in September and October.
Comparison of GroPal Balance A with Sea 90, fish emulsion/raw milk/molasses, and no
additive.
I had received a SARE grant to compare the results of applying the above treatments with a control area in our
pasture which is rotationally grazed with buffalo. This was the second year for the comparison. The
pasture is divided into 16 sections so 4 sections were randomly assigned to each of the 4 treatment areas.
Soil samples were taken in spring 2016 and 2017 and Solvita tests were done during the summer each of the
years.
Each of the test areas is a total of approximately 80 acres and of that we estimate that about 60 acres are
easily accessible for applying the soil treatments. We applied 2-5 gallon buckets of GroPal Balance A to that
60 acres the first year (2016) and 1 bucket the second year
(2017).
In 2016 we received good rainfall throughout the summer. There were no obvious differences between the
different treatment areas or even with the control (no treatment) area. So in the spring of 2017, in addition
to treating the various areas, we applied the different treatments to a small strip that was fenced off from the
buffalo for shrubs to grow. It was hoped that we could see some difference with a side-by-side
comparison. This year we had almost no rainfall from May until August. The test area was mowed in May
and none of it regrew until late in the summer. (The same thing happened to the rest of the pasture with
grazing.)
We can, however, see some differences in the soil tests and soil structure. A soil composite was taken
from all the various areas of each “treatment section”. The tests from each of the treatment areas showed a
definite improvement over the control area in organic matter, CO2 respiration, total nitrogen and carbon, and
overall soil health. GroPal Balance treated areas showed an advantage over the other treated areas in
nitrogen and carbon. In October 2017 we dug some of the roots in the side-by-side test strip. The
trowel we used went 4.75 inches into the control area (no treatment), 5 inches into the Sea 90 area, 6.25 inches
into the fish/milk area, and 6.75 (full depth of trowel) in the GroPal Balance area. The Solvita Test taken
on a hot dry day in August showed the fish/milk area to be the highest in CO2 respiration. (Control:
12.42, Fish/Milk: 27.2, Sea 90: 18.9, and GroPal Balance:
18.5)
Our conclusions are that overall, all the various treatments were advantageous in both the wet and the dry years
as evidenced by the soil tests and improved soil structure. The GroPal Balance won, hands down, in the area
of convenience and ease of use. The Sea 90 did not dissolve well and we ended up applying it dry. The
raw milk was difficult to source. We made several trips to a local dairy to acquire the amount needed and
kept it frozen until ready to use. The cost of all treatments turned out to be comparable given the added
expense of miles traveled to pick up the Sea 90, fish emulsion and raw
milk.
We will definitely be purchasing more GroPal Balance to apply to the “control” area of the pasture which has not
received any additives yet.
11/7/17 Elam Fisher, PA. Applied 1 gal./acre of MycorrPlus on June 1. I also applied some trace
minerals. I saw an improvement in growth and also less drought
stress.
11/6/17 Andrew Hershberger, NY. Applied 16 oz./acre in April. I see a small difference in size
of root system. The treated field has more roots. My soil is gravelly so it is crumbly in the two fields
treated and untreated.
11/1/17 John Scarborough, TX. I applied 64 oz. and 32oz./acre in May and October, 2017. I
didn’t put out any other fertility measures. The treated soil was more structured and the root systems longer in
the treated areas. I saw white strands of mycorrhizal fungi in the treated areas. The treated soil is more moist
than the untreated. I don’t see any fire ants in the treated
areas.
5/24/17 Alice Kamin, SC. One area only got 1 treatment. one got some largest got
two. We sprayed first time with tractor sprayer and second time by plane. Area getting full treatment looks
best other areas are filling in. We sprayed the first 13 acres as soon as we got the product. Had small
amt of rain. We sprayed about 10 more acres just before this current rain. We have about 5 to 10 acres
not sprayed. We used nothing else for fertility. Did not cut hay let horses eat. They look
great.
11/3/17 Harvey Yoder, DE. In the winter I applied a quart per acre to 20 acres. I didn’t put on
any other fertility measures on our pasture. I saw an increase in plant growth. The metal rod goes down 2’ easily
and I see more earthworms. I see less weed and insect pressure.
10/31/17 Jane Caulfield, TN. On May 28 I applied 64 oz./acre. I see thicker leaves and improved
growth and yield. We didn’t use any other fertilizer. The soil is looser in the treated fields, and there are
bigger root beds and thicker root systems. I am starting to see more earthworms. There is less run-off on the
treated fields and better drought tolerance. I see much better growth in the treated areas of the hay fields, with
less weed and insect pressure.
10/31/17 Ben Borntreger Jr., WI. I didn’t use any on pasture and hay but plan on it next year,
as we were very pleased with the results on our produce fields. We also applied MycorrPlus-F a few times on our
vegetables. On May 26 I applied 2 qts./acre of MycorrPlus. I saw an improvement in plant growth and yields. I also
applied chicken compost, sulfur, copper, boron and zinc according to the soil test. I also sprayed Monty’s liquid
carbon. The soil is easier to work now. We planted red beets and we really liked what we saw. Most of our
vegetables we raise for market did really well even with an excess of rain for a bit and then very dry conditions
later. We sell bunched beets and our root systems had a lot of white fungi on them. The tops were very nice and
glossy even late in the year. When we took up the plastic I saw more earthworms than ever before. For me, one of
the highlights for MycorrPlus is moisture retention. We never irrigated this year, even if others were irrigating.
My corn field was right beside the vegetable field and the spray sprayed over in that field; that side of the field
out-yielded the other side.
11/7/18 Carl Petty, OH. Some of his Kennebec potatoes were 7" to 8" long, 1 to 1.25 lbs.,
customers overcome by the good taste. 164 bu. organic corn, 2 ton chicken litter, 96 oz. MycorrPlus sprayed 2x2.
120 bu. corn where he put 48 oz. 2x2. Last year, 250 lb. Fertel dry fertilizer on beans, 19 bushel. This year 48
oz. only MycorrPlus 2x2, got 32 bu. Foxtail kept them from bushing out, his neighbor Joe Kipp got 57 bu. with
nothing but 48 oz. Mycorr., was ranting and raving how well his beans
did.
11/24/18 Clair Shirk, MI. He used MycorrPlus on his hay and corn. He was very satisfied with it
on the pasture. He treated 6 acres of corn very heavily. His corn yielded 200-300 bushels per acre or 30 tons
per acre. He said it was twice what he expected to get. He only used 3 out of the 4 buckets purchased. He re-seeded
his pasture one year ago and applied MycorrPlus. He said his cows really like grazing
there.
CRM, Very Satisfied
11/7/18 Andrew Ebersole, TX. Has an acre of watermelons. Had a crop failure, and blames it on MycorrPlus. He has grown watermelons for 4 years, this was the first year the deer bothered them, and he didn't even get any watermelons.
Cow ate the grass where they applied MycorrPlus but refused to eat where they didn't apply it. They applied the
MycorrPlus A the first of this summer.
11/24/18 John Flieller, TX. He applied MycorrPlus-A on 40 acres and then did not apply on 10
acres. He could definitely see a difference. Difference was noted as the grass greened up quicker and stayed
greener longer. And the grass stalks looked more vibrant. He has a problem with Blue Stem grass. Hopefully it will
in time be choked out.
1/4/19 Elvin Ebersole, TX. We are sending 10 info. packs. Elvin applied MycorrPlus on 8 acres
of hay field. Results were excellent. Hay really grew. The cows grazed so much that he couldn't tell what his yield
was like. He plowed the ground where he applied and it plowed so easy. He did a soil test 6 months after
application and said the balance was good but lacking in a few minerals. He will fax me the test. Army worms came
through his field but didn't stay long. He let his cows out to graze and that was enough to run the army worms off.
Other neighbors had bad experience with them.
10/11/18 Jay King, KY. One field there was a section that was wet and they couldn't go through
it, but they can see the line where they quit with the sprayer. The grass is darker green and a lot
thicker.
12/19/18 Noah Derstine, WI. Used in row with corn, grew well. Good crop on his vegetables.
Didn't do much for his grass hay. This is the second year they used MycorrPlus on his
hay.
10/4/18 Micah Weaver, KY. Did very well around fruit trees, not sure what it did for his
pasture. Wants to put some more out on pasture sometime. Really dry when he applied it. Applied w/ 40 gal. tank mix
in the summer, but it was 2 wks. before rain. On their grapes, this is the first year that they actually got a
crop.
9/27/18 Martha Stochl, IA. She had premium alfalfa grass hay. This year bad weather from day 1.
Planted corn on the hay ground on May 30, 2018 instead of 8th or 10th. Corn looked good until 75 mph wind a week
ago, which blew over the stocks. Rotates each year between hay and corn. Every cutting was in the 190's, it
surprised her. She didn't remember that she had used the
MycorrPlus.
10/4/18 Luke Yoder, NC. It helped. Got his worms back. Hasn't had worms for 4 years. Will want
to get more in the future. This is the first year that the grass really covered the soil. Before when he planted it
would just come up and die. Sandy clay soil.
11/27/18 John King, TN. He applied our product on pasture and saw good results of his grass
thicken up. He also applied own their garden. He said they had the sweetest sweet potatoes ever! We discussed the
Pre-Order for 2019. He said he did not get it. I'm sending him the paper work by USPS. He wants to order some more.
He also shares about our product in the Amish paper, "the Butshaft". He is telling others about our
product.
11/15/18 Daniel Petersheim, IA. He reported that he is having less weed pressure. He had the cleanest soybeans ever. Had less pressure with the Foxtail grass. Had good yield crop of corn giving him 150 bushels per acre. Overall, his crops were healthier than his weeds. Says his soil is low in potassium. He does use manure as well. He noticed that in the soil where he plants the soybeans that he saw mycorrhizae in the root zone. He application process was "in the row but under the seed." That's the way his planter applies it. Apparently, he gets good germination.
3/26/18 Daniel stated he had the best soybean crop last year had ever had.
11/24/18 Clair Shirk, MI. Mr. Shirk. He used MycorrPlus on his hay and corn. He was very
satisfied with it on the pasture. He treated 6 acres of corn very heavily. His corn yielded 200-300 bushels
per acre or 30 tons per acre. He said it was twice what he expected to get. He only used 3 out of the 4 buckets
purchased. He reseeded his pasture one year ago and applied MycorrPlus. He said his cows really like grazing
there.
Rick Thomas – call for testimonial
2015-2017
Andrew Curtiss, Shalom Vegetables, MI.
My experience with the Gro-Pal Balance was excellent. I grow CSA and farm market vegetables on a plot of
land around 1 acre in size. It is land that had been used for conventional agriculture for 30 years prior to
2015.
At your recommendation I applied a full (64 oz.) Gro-Pal Balance A soil formula to the acre in May of
2015. To say I was impressed may be an understatement. I planted 75 pounds of seed potatoes, my final
potato harvest was in the 1200 pound range. My shell peas produced large quantities of the sweetest peas.
They grew for nearly 6 weeks.
The bush snap beans I grew we picked off for over 6 weeks. When I quit picking them they were still
flowering. We were just completely sick of picking beans.
Overall, the flavor of our produce was exceptional. At the farmers market I would get told every week how
excellent our produce was. I have no doubt the Gro-Pal Balance was a major
factor.
What impressed me the most was the plant’s ability to deal with stress. In Mid-June we had almost five inches of
rain in two days. I thought for sure I was going to lose half the garden, as it was under water for almost 12
hours. The plants pushed through. What then followed was 21 days without rain. Never once in that time did I
see a wilted plant.
When it came time to tear the garden down, I was blown away by the mycorrhizal fungi all over the roots of our
plants. I firmly believe that symbiotic relationship between plant and root was the key to our success in
2015. The root structures were amazing. God's creation is truly amazing! Thanks for an awesome product.
Elaine, grass hay and pasture in northern Florida
We applied (64) ounces of GroPal Balance A the first of June. The first of August I saw that our hay had an
additional 3" of growth. A friend of mine took a look at our hayfield, and was amazed. He wanted to know what we
did, because, with the hot, dry conditions we have had over the past couple of months, other hay fields in the area
had shown little or no growth. In fact, he said that they had turned brown and dry. Not only is our hay field still
green all the way down to the root, but the grass is healthier and
stronger.
What we are seeing is that the pasture is beginning to be thicker. A friend of ours that has had the same amount
of rain has run out of grass and is feeding hay, while we have more grass than we can actually use for the number
of cattle that we have.
Elaine, compaction is decreasing, southern GA, northern FL
One of the main reasons I wanted to try GroPal Balance is because of the compaction problems we are having with our
soil. Paul assured me that compaction would gradually disappear after using GroPal Balance A, so we decided to try
it on our 1,000 acres of pasture and grass hay.
Well, I have watched it work, and much more quickly than I had expected. After just 3 weeks, where we
applied GroPal Balance the soil probe would go down about 1" , but not at all in a control field. After just 2
months the soil probe goes down 2.5" where we applied the GroPal Balance A, but still won't even go into the soil
in the control field.
Right after a rain I can go down 4" with the probe. The compaction is getting better. Before the GroPal Balance
we had a lot of runoff, but not as much now. I believe this decrease in compaction is one of the reasons the rain
is going in better, causing the grass to do better. I am really excited about what the GroPal Balance is doing for
us.
My husband is a person who is not very easily convinced, he is a show-me person. But now, even though it has
only been a little over 2 months since we applied the GroPal Balance, he can see the difference himself, and he is
becoming excited.
Elaine, early February, cattle fertility; clover
I believe the sea minerals in GroPal Balance will increase fertility. We have Heifers. Last year we had 5 sets of
paternal twins, which is unheard of. Last year our 208 cows bred 224
calves.
The last few years our soil compaction has gotten worse and worse, and our clover wasn't doing anything. Today
is February 1. We used GroPal Balance in July, and our clover is already 4" high. Our clover is
back!
It also seems that the GroPal Balance is stimulating our grass seed to come up. When we sowed in previous years
the grass was spotty at best. But this year where we have sown has filled up the pasture. Even my husband is amazed
by this, and excited!
Oat farmer in Missouri
A friend of mine used GroPal Balance A this year. His sprayer doesn't have nozzles, but fans the application out
from one nozzle. The ground tends to get a bit more right under the sprayer. So I went to look at his oat field
with him and noticed that everywhere the tractor went there was a ridge of oats that were taller and darker green.
This seems to demonstrate how a little heavier application can give better
results.
Roger Berns, WI
On my corn this year, the TDN was 87.95, protein was 10.56, and test weights were 60.9 A few stocks
had 3 ears. The 3rd ear wasn’t that large, but it was filled out. The man who bought the corn said,
“boy, this is heavy stuff”. Others in my area said their corn yields were way down, they said they had too much
rain. But my corn yields were up with big ears. Some stalks were 12 feet
tall.
On my pastures, I have 36 head on 19 acres. My cattle are fatter than a pumpkin, nice and round. My neighbor
commented, “boy, those cattle are round, and they are square in the top; they are in really good shape, nice and
fat”. My grazing fields last a lot longer with the GroPal Balance. My thistles are gone; either the cows ate
them or the grass squeezed them out.
My apples are delicious, and people tell me that my apple cider is extremely good. When they try other organic
ciders, they buy mine.
